Faculty Development for Student Success @Center for University Scholars

Established in 2003, the Center for University Scholars was renamed and refocused in 2017 with activities that specifically supported the development of tenure-track junior faculty through the support of the U.S. Department of Education’s 第三章 program. The new Faculty Development for Student Success (FDSS) program, has two major aims: 

To improve teaching and learning through innovative curriculum design  

To increase faculty development opportunities and create a model working environment for faculty development  

Through the FDSS program, we have connected junior faculty to experienced mentors and introduced them to academic life at Jackson State. On our website, we provide support to faculty members in different disciplines and at different stages of their careers to help them excel as 研究ers and instructors. The FDSS program contributes to the four of the University’s strategic priorities:
